Ron Shiigi

Ron Shiigi joined Nishihama & Kishida, CPAs, Inc., in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1973 upon graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. He received his CPA certificate from the state of Hawaii that same year. In 1983, he became a principal of the firm.
Shiigi is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Affordable Housing Association of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves as a director for the Association of Government Accountants (Hawaii Chapter) and was a former director of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. In 1996, Shiigi received his certificate as a certified government financial manager.
Shiigi serves as principal in charge of nonprofit organizations that require audit or management consulting services. He has worked with religious, civic and social organizations as well as trade associations, public charities, healthcare providers, labor unions and educational organizations. Specific services provided to these clients include audit, needs analyses for IT systems, review and compliance, government compliance, tax return preparation and management assistance, among others.
